The application form can be sent by fax or scanned but the original must be received by post.
Missing documents will be noted on the Provisional Letter of Acceptance (PLOA).
Pending documents will be required when they become available and information should be given about any missing document at the time of application.
 
Our official representative in Lebanon, Mrs Shadia Ayoub will be able to help you with all details and to provide the information you need about the application and visa process. If you wish your representatives to receive information on your behalf – we will need written permission for this.
 
VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE
 
Step 1. THE DOCUMENTS TO SEND WITH YOUR APPLICATION
  • Complete the application form, date, signature, send with the following documents to the admissions department.
  • If you are in contact with a local representative, they will be able to help you with this process.
  1. Completed and signed application form
  2. Completed and signed health form (page 3 of the application form)
  3. High School diploma/transcripts for Swiss Higher Diploma and Bachelors Degree applicants and University degree/transcripts for Postgraduate level applicants
  4. Proof of English. An official IELTS or TOEFL score will be required
  5. 2 passport-size photographs
  6. Copy of your Curriculum Vitae or resume
  7. 500 word motivation essay outlining the reasons for taking the program and your career goals
  8. Work certificates (if applicable)
Step 2. PROVISIONAL LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE
 
If your application is successful we will send you a Provisional Letter of Acceptance (PLOA) and details of how to reserve your place by paying the SFr 3’000 operating account fee. This fee will cover your additional expenses on campus, health & accident, uniforms for kitchen and service classes, internet access and books.
  • payment deadline is set at 30 days from the date the application is received
  • full bank details to make the payment will be given
 If the operating account cannot be paid by the deadline date, do not hesitate to contact the admissions office to discuss this issue.
 
Step 3. LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE

Upon receipt of the operating account we will issue
  • A Letter of Acceptance (LOA) – which is to be used to apply for the Swiss student visa at the Embassy
  • Receipt for the payment
Your place is now reserved and you are a “César Ritz” Colleges Switzerland new student.
You should now contact the Swiss Embassy and apply for your visa straight away.
 
 
VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE
 
The first step is to contact the Embassy to obtain the documents required and they will give you the process to follow. The visa process usually takes up to 6 weeks but allow more than this to avoid late arrival on campus and to be able to reserve your journey to Switzerland in advance.
 
Help with this process will be given by our official representative in Lebanon Mrs Ayoub who has helped many students to make their visa application.
 
The process will take up to 6 weeks as the documents are checked at the Embassy, then sent to Switzerland where the visa will be authorized. Once this has been done, you will be informed by the admissions office or by our official representative that the visa is ready to be collected at the Swiss Embassy.

Visa collection – You will not be allowed to collect your visa earlier than 10 days before the start of your programme.
 
PRE-ARRIVAL INFORMATION
 
An Induction Package will be mailed to you with your Letter of Acceptance, explaining what you need to bring with you, when you should arrive as well as details about Switzerland.
 
ARRIVAL IN SWITZERLAND
 
Over the arrival weekend, a Welcome Desk, staffed by César Ritz students will beset up at the arrivals hall in Geneva Airport. New students will be helped with their luggage, buying a train ticket and reduced price rail pass and transfer to the campus.
