On 29 June, the Lebanese Alumni Chapter organized a reunion at Copas, a Mexican bar and restaurant owned and run by former Csar Ritz graduate Gino Khoueiry! The evening was relaxing, but also exciting, as it happened to be Wild West night at Copas! Mouth-watering Mexican grills and drinks were served as we watched the horse show, country dancers and live music. Everyone had fun and was so pleased to see one another after being apart for a few years to pursue careers or further studies.
Along with Ara Bardakjian, on a summer vacation from the USA, I told funny stories of the good old days in Le Bouveret! Afif Al Salibi was there too: after his experience at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, he is now working as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at the Water Gate, the aqua park of Le Royal in Beirut. Sabine Achkar, who works at the same establishment, and Roy Sinanian also joined us. We were pleased to hear that Jerome Chamassian has a new job as Regional Marketing and Development Manager of the Hard Rock Caf, and that Maya El Mir has recently moved to Qatar, where she will work for a well-reputed wholesale food company. Good luck Maya!
We are all looking forward to the next reunion in Lebanon, and to welcoming more and more new members!
